The Dark Elves were my first real models, that was before I decided to collect Warhammer 40,000 models only.

A fairly standard female Dark Elf.

Pretty much all of my crossbow-elves seem to have stabbed someone.

Doing the chainmail was probably the easiest part; drybrushing ftw!

I imagine she’s got a good aim.

Adding small creative touches like this is just so easy.

Hurry up with the reloading you!

The lack of blood on this guy inevitably means he has a low rank.

The reason for his position on the base has nothing to do with illustrating enthusiasm, I needed to make room for a “creatively” posed model that was to stand behind him.

Now THAT’S got to hurt!

I really just wanted to take “battle damage” to a new level.

I like the shading on the armour on this one, no wash applied, only drybrushing!

What’s that? Too much blood? What do you mean?

One of the few guys I made a shield for before switching to Warhammer 40k.

Blood on your weapon is a requirement for respect in a Dark Elf army.

He’s got a guard’s pose, don’t you think?

Can you spot the pattern on the back of the shield? I’m quite happy with the way it turned out.

This is the Dark Elf I spent the most time on. Check out the mouth!

Check out the sword hand, I really think it looks superb!

The hard shadows between the plates of the armour is a nice touch.

The hilt of the sword is a bit “yellow-gold”, but I really like the finished blade.
